Educational Philosophy

Teaching methodology, units of study and assessments, as well as the manner in which teachers interact with the students in their charge revolve around on one hand foundations of understanding and the role of a mentor while on the other a basis of expectations focused on analytical thinking, accountability, responsibility and standards mirroring expectations of society in their citizens. It is the goal of secondary & post secondary school instructors to provide their students with the opportunity to learn in a positive productive environment conducive for learning. Furthermore, specific lessons & curriculum need to be designed to provide students the opportunity to cultivate their abilities to become productive citizens while providing the tools to realize all their dreams and goals. As such, educational activities should always be grounded in a pragmatic application focused on relevancy. Students need to acquire an appreciation for high standards in school that are aligned with the same level of accountability expected of them in their professional lives beyond school. The following samples endeavor to be consistent with this philosophy and expectations.
